The island has volcanic origins and the wonderful blue lagoon is surrounded by white sandy beaches and exuberant tropical forest. The blue sea is at your doorstep. 
The reefs in Walea are absolutely uncontaminated as diving started here only a few years ago. The Walea Dive Center Resort is located on a secluded, private area on Walea Bahi Island. In 1994, the nearby area became a marine park where fishing and docking are forbidden. This is the best island in Central Sulawesi for anyone who doesn't like "common and touristy places".
 Walea Dive Resort is small, intimate and exclusive. There are only 11 beachfront bungalows, each made of fine local wood in order to respect the surrounding environment. Each deluxe bungalow is very comfortable with a double bed, ceiling fan, a large private tiled bathroom with shower and a porch with table and chairs. Every evening, you can relax on your porch, enjoy fabulous and breathtaking sunsets and reflect on the days spectacular diving.
Owned and operated by Italians, the kitchen manages to perfectly melt the traditional and tasteful Italian cuisine with typical and exotic Indonesian. What comes out? Each and every dish is made up of different recipes, products, flavours and spices! It is perhaps the finest dining of any resort in the area - without question.
Diving Details Divers and snorkeling enthusiasts will find a true paradise here! In Walea's sounding depths, you can find many unique and different kinds of coral formations, atolls and reefs filled with an abundance of tropical marine life that range from large schoals of pelagics to rare and unique macro life.
 The Walea Dive Center is the only Padi Five Star Facility in the whole of Central Sulawesi, ready to take you on a unique journey each day.
The resort has 3 comfortable boats, allowing you to reach all of the dive sites in just a few minutes from the resort.  Walea Dive Center has Mares equipment (BCD's and reg's ) for rent and 30 aluminum tanks. Near the brand new Bauer air compressor there is a wide-open area to hang & dry area your diving equipment. Instructors organize all the activities of the dive center including PADI courses.
