La Paz Whale Watching ToursBaja, CaliforniaWhale Watching
We invite you to to take one of our exclusive Whale watching tours. It will be an experience that you will never forget! We offer excursions to Bahia Magdalena, the resting place for migrating Blue Whales, Grey Whales and their calves. Every year like clockwork, after spending the summer feeding in Alaska, gray whales begin their incredible migration south to Baja, California . They travel for 2-3 months to reach the warmer southern waters where they will mate and birth from mid-January to end of March. Large numbers of greys predictably congregate in 3 bays along Baja's west coast-Laguna Ojo de Liebre, Laguna San Ignacio and Bahia Magdalena (the southernmost bay, only 3 hours drive across peninsula from La Paz). These shallow and highly-salinated bays increase newborn calves' buoyancy and help keep them warm, despite their lack of protective blubber at birth. As fellow mammals, grey whale calves are born live and nurse their mothers' milk, which is 50% fat (the gain 60 pounds per day diet!). You'll have the rare opportunity of seeing these majestic creatures right next to your boat. Seasonal departures from November - March. Package Includes: Round trip transfers from your hotel in La Paz, Breakfast, tour guide, Lunch and drinks at local restaurant. Recommendation: Bring wind braker, tennis shoes, hat, sun lotion and camera. Please contact us for Availability and Pricing
